30 Day Buffy Challenge: Day 20

Day 20: Best Spike-centric Episode

Just one?! Okay, Once I re-watch the series, I might have a different answer, but the first episode that pops in my head is "Lover's Walk." Not only does it feature one of my favorite quotes, but it's the episode that  made me fall in love with him his character. He's just a perfect blend of "bad" and funny in it. The scenes with Joyce are freaking priceless and I love how he keeps going on about Dru making out with a chaos demon...too damn funny! Not to mention, the closing scene of Spike driving down the road jamming out to "My Way" is still one of best Spike moments ever if you ask me :D

Since I cant find a good video of just this episode on youtube, I'll just leave this:

She wouldn't even kill me. She just left. She didn't even care enough to cut off my head or set me on fire. I mean, is that too much to ask? You know, some little sign that she cared? It was that truce with Buffy that did it. Dru said I'd gone soft. Wasn't demon enough for the likes of her. And I told her it didn't mean anything I was thinking of her the whole time, but she didn't care. So, we got to Brazil and she was... she was just different. I gave her everything. Beautiful jewels, beautiful dresses with beautiful girls in them, but nothing made her happy. And she would flirt. I caught her on a park bench making out with a Chaos Demon. Have you ever seen a Chaos Demon? They're all slime and antlers; they're disgusting. She only did it to hurt me. So I said,  "I'm not putting up with this anymore." And she said,  "Fine." And I said, " Yeah, I've got an unlife, you know." And then she said... she said we could still be friends. God, I'm so unhappy.  - Spike

  1. That was an awesome one, in my top three. I think I'd have to decide between this one, "Fool For Love", and "Lies My Parents Told Me." It would be hard to choose a top one, though... :-)

  2. Oh yea! Those were awesome too, especially with how the scenes are filmed in "Fool For Love" - Just brilliant. "Lies My Parents Told" was a good one also...and I loved that it continued from the other episode! I almost wondered if that was planned back in season 5, because it just played out so well. There's two things about that episode though: Spike's mom ...which I dont know if I'm appalled or if I find it to be one of the funniest things ever after watching AtS. And Giles. That's the one time that he seriously pissed me off.
