30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 14

Day 14 - Favorite male character:

Oh snap.

This is a little difficult for me to answer!

I feel like if I dont say my Duke boys, I'm being treacherous :-|

But I feel like Bo & Luke are characters that compliment each other, not necessarily stand on their own as being great.  Same goes with Boss Hogg and Roscoe ....they each play off of each other so well, it's kinda wrong to put one above the other.

So I'm looking for a male character that is able to stand out on their own....that is able to evoke emotions from their viewers.

Okay maybe thats too deep for this question. A character doesnt have to be deep to be great after all.

This is unfair. I have several fave male characters.

Okay.....

Favorite Male Character:

Dexter Morgan from "Dexter"

He's works as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department. He is also a serial killer

A serial killer with a Code. He only kills other killers. But dont think he's being noble or anything, Dexter is a complex person. He doesnt do it to right wrongs (though maybe its part of the reason) but he does it to satisfy his need and drive to kill. Dexter really does have a mental illness like ALL serial killers. It goes back to a something traumatic that happened in his childhood. He is a dark character, that we should be disgusted by...yet, I root for him. I want to see him murder those other sick and twisted people that has slipped through the cracks of society. Maybe that says something about who I am as a person. Rooting for a murderer to murder another murderer. But truth be told, something about what he does is totally justifiable. Plus, he's a character that you cant help not to love. I give this credit to Michael C. Hall. I've read some of the books, and the character just isnt as likable in the books as on the show. Although the books are much more darker the show too, but anyways....So yeah I def. gotta say Dexter is my favorite male character. He's a character that's extremely complex and well written. A character that will make you analyze your own psyche and that's so well portrayed by Michael C. Hall , that you cant help but to connect to the character on a a certain level. A character that happens to be a serial killer. That is greatness.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Archie Bunker from "All in the Family"
Al Bundy from "Married...with Children"
Adrian Monk from "Monk"

LOL I know all these character's are totally different from one another, but all awesome in their own way ;)

And Yup, I totally over thought this one! :-P

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 12

Day 12 - An episode you’ve watched more than 5 times:

Heh. Every single episode of The Dukes of Hazzard.
And it's been way more than five times that I've re-watched them.

There's also a lot of sitcoms that has episodes that I've watched over and over again.

I just cant keep track of specific episode names lol

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 11

Day 11 - A show that disappointed you:

Hmmmm...

I have no idea.

I really cant think of any show that I had high expectations for and ended up disliking.

That doesnt mean there hasnt been any.

Maybe one was so bad I pushed it out of my memory or something :P

Oh well!

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 10

Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving:

This is probably gonna surprise some people cause it's a show I talk about a lot, but "Six Feet Under"

I was in my early teens when the show first premiered and my mom used to love it. I can remember being on the computer in the other room when it came on, and I'd be like..."Wth are you watching?! That music is uber stupid."
Then I think one of the first scenes I ever saw was a gay scene of two guys making out...and I was like..Ummm..no thanks.

LOL I've never been homophobic or anything, but still...I was only 14...two guys making out wasnt my cup of tea.

But my mother loved it and she was convicned that if I watched it that I would too.

Anyways, I think I finally started watching it somewhere towards the end of the second season and I feel in love with it! So much in love that it became one of my all time favorite shows, the gay couple that first weirded me out became my faves in the show (David and Keith) , and  I cried like a baby...or bawled like a  baby...during the series finale.

I recenctly purchased the entire dvd box set via amazon.com and been watching a disc every night. I'm up to the final season now. It's been great getting to relive life with the Fisher's all over again. I'm also getting to see a few things I missed during season two (I had previously watched season one on VHS) and there was a lot of things I had totally forgot about.

I am so glad that I got over my initial reluctance to watch it...because it truly is one of the best, most original series ever made.

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 9

Day 09 - Best scene ever:
Dang, this is a really tough question!

There is just NOWAY I can name just ONE favorite scene.
I can think of like 4 right off the top of my head from True Blood that I freakin love! But would I consider them the best scenes ever, I just dont know...
Sheesh!
This is really freaking tough.

Okay, I'm gonna cheat a little and say the final scene from episode 9 of True Blood.

It may not be the best scene ever, but it was one of my faves from last season.

It was totally absurd and brilliant all at the same time.

And it was unexpected.

So yea I'll go with this scene since I cant think of another one right now.

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 8

Day 08 - A show everyone should watch:

After giving it a lot of thought, I'm gonna have to say "Monk."

Monk is one of the best television characters ever.

I just dont see how anybody could watch one episode and not love the show!

It's also a show everybody can enjoy, nothing "offensive" or "bad" about it.

I actually need to watch the last few seasons of it myself. I actually plan on owning the entire collection one of these days! That just how good that show is. =)

Oh, it's about an obsessive compulsive detective, that solves crimes like a genius! Thanks to his weird compulsions, he's able to notice things "normal" people wouldnt.

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 7

Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite t.v show:
Well I have established twice now that The Dukes of Hazzard is my favorite show.

A least fave episode...well hmmmmm....
I dont know if I can pinpoint just one episode because I love them all in their own way.

However, I can definitely say what my least fave season is:

Season 5 aka the Coy and Vance season.. ...I strongly dislike them so much and even though all the episodes are still good, I can hardly stand to see them driving The General Lee!

Okay so in all fairness, if I had to pick my least fave episode with Bo and Luke, I guess I'd have to say maybe "Strange Visitor to Hazzard." LOL It had a freakin UFO and alien they called "Little Cousin" LOL Def. not a high point, but I actually still like that episode too, but it's corny :P

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 6

Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite t.v show:

Ohhhh! This is kinda easy.

As I stated back on day 4, The Dukes of Hazzard is my all time favorite show.

I think my fave episode would have to be "The Ghost of the General Lee."

I wish I could find a clip of my fave scene on YouTube because it's hilarious (the part where Rosco and Enos thinks the General Lee is possessed by a medium) but I cant =/

Also, the episode "My Son, Bo Hogg" runs a close 2nd.

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 5

Day 05 - A show you hate:

LOL  Where should I start? I hate 99% of the reality shows that come on television today.
 But..
You'll never catch me watching Law & Order.
Any of them.
:-P

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 4

Day 04 - Your favorite show ever:

Well this is the easiest question yet: The Dukes of Hazzard! =)

Thursday, February 17, 2011

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 3

Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this t.v season):

Well this is rather sad. I havent watched any shows that's aired this tv season, so I cant name one. I am rather anxious about Sarah Michelle Gellar's new show "Ringer." I think it will air in the fall on CBS, but only time will tell if it's any good or not....

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 2

Day 2 - A show that you wish more people were watching:

"Dexter" because it is bloody brilliant! The writing is genius and Michael C. Hall really owns that role. Then there's Dexter's sister Debra, who you cant help but to love. It's one of my all time favorite shows ever. I cant wait for next season :)

30 Day Tv Show Challenge: Day 1

So I've decided to do a 30 day Challenge :) I love watching TV so this one sounded logical to do LOL! You can find it here They have tons of other ones to choose from also. Anyway!

Day 01- A show that should have never been canceled

Whoa..LOL..This is bad to kick off a 30 day challenge with a question like this because most of my fave shows are reruns in the first place or still on going. I think I'd have to say "King of The Hill" though. Even though it's an animated tv series, it kinda broke my heart when I found out it was ending. It was my fave out of all the Fox animations. And it's the most recent one in memory that I can think of right off the top of my head.
